Reese F.

Reese has been playing drums and percussion since late elementary school. He started guitar not that long after. He was active in the band programs and drumline all through high school and continued into college. Reese graduated from UT in Austin with a bachelor's degree in Percussion Performance. In his time there, he was able to perform in all the large group wind ensembles and orchestras, the percussion ensemble, basketball/volleyball band as well as presenting 2 solo recitals and accompanying other students on their recitals.

Reese has been playing gigs ever since high school but started doing music full time in 2018. He's toured with a number of different artists over the years and played all over the country opening for major country acts, and he currently is the drummer for guitar slinger Hayden Baker.

Reese has been teaching lessons and instructing music classes/drumlines since he graduated in 2012, and started teaching at MAT in 2023.

As a multi-instrumentalist and educator, Reese's main goal is to help students be well rounded in the knowledge of their instrument and music as a whole. He also desires to help students learn and play songs by their favorite artists and to be able to make music with their peers. He has worked with students of all ages and is sure to adapt the teaching style to meet the students where they are to challenge them appropriately.
