Alejandro A.

Alejandro Alvarez is a composer, conductor, pianist, and bassoonist from Miami Florida and has been living in Katy Texas since 2017. He is currently completing his studies in music composition at Sam Houston State University. He has been playing piano for 5 years now and has performed in various recitals at his university and has participated in two editions of the International Avila Music Festival in Avila, Spain. His compositions have been performed at his university, in Cyfair, and in Avila Spain. He has also received commissions of his works by his fellow high school professors, and by the International Avila Music Festival faculty. As a conductor, Alejandro has conducted both the SHSU Symphony Orchestra, and the SHSU Wind Ensemble, and has also participated in several conducting workshops in Houston, New York City, and Madrid Spain. Alejandro is very passionate about music and his ultimate goal is to become a world renowned orchestra director and composer.
