Karen A.

Karen is a life-long music lover, studying piano since the age of 6.  As a child, she also enjoyed playing guitar and violin, and participated in various ensembles and orchestras. Throughout her piano career, she has accompanied high school choirs, worked as a church pianist, and performed in various private events. She is incredibly versatile in her repertoire, able to execute a variety of styles such as pop and classical. Karen also has a talent for sight-reading, which has been achieved through her years of practice and performance.

As a teacher, Karen is a very caring and nurturing person, and is excited to share her joy with her students.  Through her teaching method, she is able to build their confidence, work ethic, and connection with music.  Karen is compassionate, and provides a personalized approach to meet the needs of each student.  She helps her students experience the joy of making music by giving them foundational knowledge, introducing them to different genres of music, and providing positive encouragement.
