Khadija H.
Hailing from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Khadija discovered her passion for the piano at the age of 4, cultivating her talent through an innate ability to play by ear. As a dedicated student competitor in Arlington, she honed her craft under the guidance of esteemed mentors, Dr. Robert D. Carney and Dr. Dazheng Zhu. Khadija's musical prowess led her to triumph in numerous competitions, festivals, and theory tests organized by the Arlington Music Teachers Association Guild (AMTA), earning accolades and top placements. Her musical endeavors culminated in a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas, where she refined her artistry under the mentorship of Dr. Steven Harlos. Undeterred in her pursuit of musical excellence, Khadija sets her sights on earning a Master's Degree in Piano Pedagogy in the coming years.
Beyond the piano, Khadija's early love for music led her to explore the world of bands, where she showcased her talent on the French Horn from 6th grade onwards. Her musical prowess earned her various solo awards, including consistent placement in the All-Region and All-Orchestra Bands. She is currently an active member of The Woodlands Concert Band, a community band in The Woodlands area.
Away from the realm of music, Khadija finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. A dedicated reader, fitness enthusiast, and avid traveler, she brings a well-rounded passion to her pursuits. Currently residing in the Klein/Spring area with her husband, an attorney, and their two beloved pets—a dog and a cat—Khadija embraces each day with a harmonious blend of music and life's diverse experiences.
