Khadija H.
Hailing from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Khadija began playing Piano at the age of 4 and learned by playing by ear. She was a very avid student competitor in the Arlington area, taking lessons from both Dr. Robert D. Carney and Dr. Dazheng Zhu. Her early love for Piano and music inspired her to venture into the band world, playing French Horn from 6th grade onwards and earning various solo awards including placing in the All-Region and All-Orchestra Bands multiple years in a row. Khadija graduated last year with her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas, and plans on pursuing a Master’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy within the next few years. She has spent the first half of the year teaching at the Sugar Land Music School. She is also involved in one of the many community bands in Houston, still continuing to play French Horn. When not teaching or playing music, she enjoys reading, working out, and traveling. Khadija currently resides in the Klein/Spring area with her husband, an attorney, and their two pets: a dog and a cat.
