Lina Linares.
Lina is a passionate and dedicate music educator with over a decade of experience inspiring students through the art of singing, choral direction and violín instruction. With a strong foundation in vocal performance and pedagogical research from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, she has honed her expertise in developing engaging, student-centered lesson plans that nurture creativity and musical excellence.
Throughout her career, Lina has led and directed Choices for renowned operatic productions, including La Traviatta and Carmen with California Lyrics Association. She also served as a choir director and team coordinator for Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, where she played a pivotal role in forming musical ensembles, teaching vocal-choral techniques and leading performances. Additionally, she worked as the Children’s Choir Director at Our Lady of The Refuge París, San Jose, CA, where she prepared young singers for performances, including a Christmas concert.
Her ability to foster young talent extends to her work as a violín instructor, guiding students of different levels in mastering technique, performance and musical expression. Beyond the classroom, Lina has contributed to musical initiatives including early childhood music education and bringing the joy of music to diverse communities.
