Collin Z.

Collin has more than a decade’s experience in basic education and performance.  He began playing the upright and electric bass, but soon took up the guitar as well in order to better understand harmony.  

Collin has studied various forms of music with a variety of great instructors, including performing in a jazz ensemble under legendary drummer and band leader Chico Hamilton.  He has performed a wide variety of genres of music, ranging from jazz to rock to blues and country, and even experimental improvised music.  

Collin has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas with a minor in music.  He continues to study and practice new styles and techniques of music to better hone his craft and is always excited to share his knowledge with students so as help them become the best musicians they can be.
