Michael G.
Originally hailing from New Braunfels, TX, Michael found it was his life’s goal to sing early on. In his teen years, he started taking it seriously by engaging in both UIL and non-UIL competitions and events. He graduated from University of Texas El Paso for his undergraduate degree and University North Texas for a masters degree, both for music education. Michael has picked up vocal skills in practically anything - classical, pop - whatever a student desires to be trained in or for, he’s got it ready for them.
He has an extensive background in public education. As an educator, he earned recognition as a teacher of the year, directed the musical Godspell, and helped the schools he taught win UIL competitions for the first time in the schools' histories. He also still found the time to perform with Houston Show Choir for a time and local open mic nights.
Michael is a bit competitive and passionate by nature, and it noticeably rubs off on students. Michael’s mantra is all about limit breaking - pushing students to do better. His philosophy is to find where a student lies on a skill set and customize their lesson to maximize results. Outside the studio Michael enjoys running and playing on his keytar.
